1. Summary of service
The one-stop ECC6-BI7 availability service will cover:
a) ECC6 System installation,
b) Installing corresponding support packages to the latest level,
c) Installing BI Add-ons and corresponding patches,
d) BI and ECC system initial configuration and all data sources will be replicated to BI module,
e) Connecting BI and Portal modules including Web BEx configuration,
f) Compatible SAPGUI installations,
g) Running SGEN transaction.
Finally, you will have integrity of BI7 system.
2. Why do you need this kind of service?
Many SAP consultants think it is only installation issue which Basis guy should be responsible for, But not, This issue cover Basis, Portal, BI modules. As we know, Netweaver consultant will take it, but some Netweaver consultants haven't enough background information about BI, It is not easy for them to understand what do you (as BI consultant) need? If Netweaver consultants of your company haven't experience about this issue, they will encounter many problems. It is a time-consuming task for them to search notes or send messages between SAP support and them.
As I know, a lot of companies will contact external experienced consultant to aid this issue. I, as an experienced BI consultant now, I am quite willing to provide the service for you.
3. Service items and details
a) SAP system installation, you may make a choice between SAP ECC6 SR1 and SAP ECC6 SR2.
b) OS platform, make a choice one of these: Windows 2003 Server, Linux, and HP UNIX.
c) Database choice, one of Oracle, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.
d) Upgrade the corresponding support package and Add-ons to the latest level.
e) Replicating all data sources from ECC6 or CRM system to BI modules.
f) Config Portal and build the connection between BI and Portal.
g) Config Web BEx.
h) In a client, Install a compatible SAPGUI and correspond patches.
i) SGEN transacton finished.
j) Test and check.
4. Schedule and cost
a) The cost will be charged as 3 work days of my consultant service rate.
b) Normally the service will be finished in 3 work days. In some case depending others, the installation will need more days. The cost of days exceed 3 days is free.
c) The service will be delivery by on-site service(additive traval fee will be charged) or Remote Access Service via remotes control software.
d) Service Process, Contract --> Implement --> Acceptance -->Invoice --> Payment.
